How One Man Hacks The Entire Travel Industry [w/ Justin Ross Lee]
From humble beginnings in Scarsdale, New York, to the window seats of Gulfstream 550 jets, traveling in only the most luxurious circumstances – Justin Ross Lee is exactly who he thinks he is. And what you think of him? Well, he doesn’t really care – as long as you don’t think of him as normal. And, after familiarizing yourself with JRL even briefly, I promise you “normal” won’t be the first word to come to mind. "Pretentious" might be, but, frankly, Lee is fond of the word. In fact, he even named his own line of pocket squares “Pretentious Pocket,” as his own toast to the douchebags. You might have seen him before, probably on social media, where his Internet presence encroaches upon the size of his ego. I mean, take a look at his Instagram; it's a storyboard for an Action Bronson verse. According to JRL, "If your life isn't a postcard, it's not worth the stamp.” If you’re not familiar with his social media persona, then you may have seen him in the tabloids. He’s certainly no stranger to making news; in fact, a number of his celebrity spats have been publicized in the New York Times and New York Post. Again, anything but normal. In the words of JRL, “Normal is the ugliest word in the English language. Average is a close second.” For Lee, these words are synonymous with mediocrity, and those who simply accept mediocrity are schmucks – and fall in line to those who stand out. Literally speaking. In this feature, Lee takes us to the airport, which doubles as his home office, and shows us a few “travel tips” in a way only JRL could -- with style, arrogance and, well, hilarity. While these tips might seem to be superficial or petty, if you look a little deeper, the “line” at the airport can be seen as a microcosm of life. A lot of times, those who wait stay waiting – while, those with the ambition and persistence to seek alternate routes to get ahead usually do. The Vikings! - Crash Course World History 224
In which John Green teaches you about Vikings! That's right, one of our most requested subjects, the Vikings, right here on Crash Course. So what's the deal with Vikings? Well, the stuff you've heard about them may not be true. The Vikings weren't just pagan raiders striking terror into the hearts of defenseless European Christendom. They were some of the greatest travelers of their time, and they weren't always traveling to steal. In a lot of cases, they were traveling to trade. John will teach you about Viking trade goods, Norse Mythology, and yes, there will be blood, guts, and dragons. OK? You can directly support Crash Course at https://www.patreon.com/crashcourse Subscribe for as little as $0 to keep up with everything we're doing. Street Food in Pakistan - ULTIMATE 16-HOUR PAKISTANI FOOD Tour in Lahore, Pakistan!
Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market): https://goo.gl/VY6NjH SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos every week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts and caps: https://goo.gl/6WdK1l Also, just published a full Pakistan travel guide: https://goo.gl/5MHgz4 I’m very excited to share this first full street food in Pakistan video with you! We started our trip in Lahore, a vibrant, colorful, and packed full of food city. Our first day in Lahore turned out to be a 16 hour street food marathon in Lahore, and it was an amazing day! Get more details on my Pakistan Travel Guide: https://goo.gl/5MHgz4 Sadiq Halwa Puri (https://goo.gl/maps/Yoy9dJ6steF2) - We began the day with a very common breakfast throughout Pakistan, halwa puri, but along with chana curry (chickpea curry). We ate off the car, enjoying every bit of the freshly fried puris and curry. Total price - 640 PKR ($4.78) Chacha Feeka Lassi (https://goo.gl/maps/RGQBRQaNj8p) - Next we drove over to Gawalmandi, one of the most legendary areas in Lahore for food. We headed straight to a breakfast staple, the lassi shop and had the most creamy heavy milkshake I’ve ever had, called a pera lassi. Roasted chickpeas - 25 PKR ($0.19) - After exiting an alley, right in front of us was a man selling chickpeas and corn roasted in black Himalayan salt. It’s a very common street food snack in Pakistan. Sweet potato - 80 PKR ($0.60) - Sweet potato is also a very common street food snack in Lahore, seasoned with masala and a type of citrus juice. Baba Kulfi Wala - Next we headed over to Shah Alami Market, another huge and bustling market in Lahore. Kulfi - 20 PKR ($0.15) each - One of the most famous places to eat ice cream in Lahore is Baba Kulfi Wala, and you’ll find a crowd of people standing around the corner of the road eating sticks of their famous kulfi. Orange juice - 50 PKR ($0.37) Chana chaat - 120 PKR ($0.89) per plate - One of my personal favorite Pakistani street food snacks of the day was chana chaat, a chickpea snack. He added in all sorts of spices, chutneys, and seasonings, to create a deliciously refreshing snack. Butt Karahi Tikka Restaurant - Easily one of the most well known restaurants in Lahore is Butt Karahi, specializing in curry made in a rounded pan, called a karahi (we will be eating a lot of karahi’s in Pakistan!). We ordered both a mutton karahi and chicken karahi. Both were amazing, filled with spices and butter, but the tenderness of the mutton was the winner. Total price - 5,600 PKR ($41.84) Siddique Fish Corner - You’ll notice that Lahore seems to come alive at night, and street food is everywhere at night. We began the evening with Siddique Fish Corner, one of the best fried fish stalls in Lahore. It was awesome, and so busy. Total price - 400 PKR ($2.99) Khalifa Balochi Sajji - Another Pakistani dish I wanted to try was chicken sajji, a type of hand rotisserie chicken. The atmosphere and cooking method was incredible. Total price - 390 PKR ($2.91) Khan Baba Restaurant - Finally for our last dinner on this 16 hour day of food in Pakistan, we went to one of Ali’s favorite restaurants in Lahore, Khan Baba. The goat chops were impressive as was the korma curry. Again, massive thank you to Ali, from Pakistan Travel Mart for hosting us in Pakistan, taking us around, and organizing everything. Is JAMES HARDEN Breaking The NBA Rulebook?
Coach Nick is joined by 19 year veteran NBA referee Ronnie Nunn to go through Houston Rockets guard James Harden's game to isolate the fouls he's generating while taking 3 point shots. This is the latest example of a talented player stretching the rules to the point where the NBA might have to step in and adjust how they referee these types of shots. Do they continue to keep awarding 3 free throws? Or do they award the ball out of bounds? ***For more info on POINT GUARD COLLEGE click HERE: https://goo.gl/ObON6W *** Watch Coach Nick's exclusive interview with James Harden HERE: https://youtu.be/-L83IWSKo_c For more in depth NBA analysis, LISTEN to our podcast on iTunes: http://apple.co/2jsG4oy and Stitcher: http://bit.ly/2jp70Io SUBSCRIBE HERE FOR MORE: http://bit.ly/BBallSub MUSIC: Fighting For Freedom by Anno Domini We're not a channel, we're a conversation. Is Every Electron in the Universe The Same Electron? | Answers With Joe

If that sounds crazy, that’s because it is. The first rule of this video is to not take this too seriously, it’s really more of a thought experiment. It was first proposed by physicist John Archibald Wheeler in 1940 in a phone call to Richard Feynman, who eventually popularized the idea. Wheeler had been working on a problem that had plagued physicists for decades, which was the question of why all electrons have the same mass and the same spin. He considered the fact that electrons always move in a certain direction in an electromagnetic field due to their negative charge. Similarly, a positively charged electron, or a positron, would travel the opposite direction because of its positive charge. So he imagined if you recorded the motion of an electron on video and then played it backwards, it would behave just like a positron. In other words, if an electron were traveling backwards in time, it would basically be a positron. This idea of an electron traveling backwards and forwards in time took over. And he began to theorize that in such a case, the same electron would cross our timeline multiple times - and appear to us as the same electron. I have a feeling I may be losing some of you, let me grab a prop… (step off screen. Construction SFX. Come back with board) Okay, I put this board together to help explain this, it took everything I learned from engineering school... (BLACK SCREEN) Text: (Joe has never taken a single engineering class) (CAM A) And I spent a lot of time and money on this… (BLACK SCREEN) Text: ($6.79 at Home Depot) (CAM A) But I think this will help explain it. So on this board, the vertical axis is the progression of time and the black line is where we are right now, so technically, this line is moving slowly upward, but let’s ignore that for now. And this string represents an electron (wind the string across the nails) traveling back and forth across time. It travels one direction until a force acts on it and then it travels the other direction. Maybe the force acting on it is the beginning and the end of time in the universe. Who knows? But the point is it goes back and forth over and over again, crossing over our now line. (tie off the end) So what does this mean to us? Well, think back to that Flatland analogy and how they could only see in one plane, well we are the flatlanders of time if you will, and even though this electron has spanned the timeline of the universe an infinite number of times, we can only see it when it crosses our path, which in this case is 1, 2, 3 (count) 8 times. In actuality, this would be closer to infinity, but I only have so much string. So to us, we see an infinite number of electrons doing their electron thing, when in reality, they are all one electron all along. Meaning that you and I and everybody we know and everything we can touch and every planet and star and galaxy in the universe is made up of the exact same particles. Now, if you’re wondering how Wheeler may have come up with such a crazy idea, it might be because he was also the guy behind the delayed choice experiment. I talked about this way back in my double slit experiment video but to greatly simplify this, the delayed choice experiment was a variation on the double slit experiment that allows us to know whether a photon’s waveform collapses before it is observed. In other words, it behaves differently according to events that have not yet happened. Meaning quantum effects are not necessarily bound by time. This might also explain why we see quantum particles blink in and out of existence and cross physical barriers they’re not supposed to. Because they’re sliding back and forth across our timeline.

'Hey Bill Nye, How Will We Know When to Believe a Time Traveler?' #TuesdaysWithBill
If someone comes back from the future, they ought to have packed one thing in their carry on: proof. Do you want to ask Bill a question for a future "Tuesdays with Bill?" Click here to learn how to submit: (http://goo.gl/Joiqzo). Read more at BigThink.com: http://bigthink.com/videos/bill-nye-explains-if-time-travel-is-possible Follow Big Think here: YouTube: http://goo.gl/CPTsV5 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BigThinkdotcom Twitter: https://twitter.com/bigthink Transcript - Lana: Hey Bill Nye. My name is Lana and I have a question about time travel. So recently I have been searching up various information about a so called time traveler named John Titor who claimed that he came from the year 2036 and wrote about all of this in the early 2000's. So I have a question, can this possibly happen and can time travel actually exist? So thank you. Bill Nye: Lana, I would say, if I understand this guy's claims, they are false. Time travel so far is not possible. There is a very reasonable theory that you could build a time machine in which you go faster or close to the speed of light, of course that would kill you because you would be accelerated in these very small radii and at very high speeds and you'd fly apart. But that aside, you can only go back in time to when the machine was built, just a complication. The other thing is when people make these extraordinary claims there's generally a way to prove them false, to prove them wrong. And this guy took the trouble to only go the 2036, see if he can tell you who one the Super Bowl. And the other big thing I always ask those guys, why isn't he rich? Couldn't he have invested in certain stocks? Couldn't he have seen certain eventualities, outcomes with the stock market, with certain manufactures, be it the Tesla Automobile Corporation, for example, or the Department of Defense in the United States coming up with some famous new invention? Wouldn't he have invested in certain farmland in the right part of the world to be especially productive? Why? So on and so on. So I really encourage you to look into this guy's claims. Now, in what we call skepticism or skeptical thought, and also it's a very popular phrase right now critical thinking, critical thinking skills, we evaluate claims, we look to see if a claim is true or false. You look at a specific thing this guy says that happens in the future and see if it really happens. In general when people make those claims – I'm 60 years old now. I've been through a lot of claims of the end of the world. Read Full Transcript Here: http://goo.gl/KtNC32.

Why Japanese Live So Long ★ ONLY in JAPAN
So you want to live to be 100? The answers to living a long and happy life may come from Japan which has the longest average life expectancy in the world (83.84 years) and where 2 million people are over the age of 90. Believe it or not, 6 of the top 10 oldest people alive are from Japan including Nabi Tajima of Kagoshima who is 117 years old and the last human alive born in the 19th century! How did so many Japanese get to live so long? What are some of the things Japanese do right? In this episode, John travels to Tottori Prefecture to the area around Mt Daisen where his friend Tomiko-san gives him some advice about how to live a long life and how she's lived to be 106 years old and still working on the farm! Her secret? Tofu. She started to make tofu in the 1950s when doctors said residents had to reduce high blood pressure. She made her own tofu for her family and her diet combined with good habits including staying busy and working hard have strengthened her mind and body. She still walks and writes tanka poetry. I also ask Mr. Seiichi, my 97 year old Japanese neighbor his secret and hear from a Shinto priest about his thoughts and personal experiences with living a very long and happy life in Japan. It's impossible to say exactly what has led to Japan having the longest average life expectancy in the world but these things may help: ★ Green Tea ★ Less fatty foods ★ Seafood ★ Fermented foods ★ Bath culture / Hot Springs & Onsen ★ Smaller portions ★ Education on personal responsibility ★ National safety / low crime rates ★ Respect for the Elderly (It's a national holiday too!) ★ DNA Special thank you to Daisen Town & Yonago City in Tottori Prefecture for the help. Daisen is celebrating its 1300th anniversary this year and you're invited to the party in June 2018! http://www.daisen1300.org/ Music credits: Always thankful for TeknoAXE (Matthew Huffaker) Songs: Granny Jenkins / Harassing the Mailman https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtgf00GvfFQVsYBA7V7RwUw The video was produced and created by John Daub. Meet The Media - Dublin, Ireland - hosted by TravelMedia.ie Ireland
Meet the Media is a speed networking event held in Dublin Ireland every year for travel media, editors, travel bloggers, influencers, travel journalists and broadcast media. Meet The Media 2017 took place on Monday March 27th in Dublin, Ireland at the Westbury Hotel and was hosted by TravelMedia.ie. The date for Meet the Media 2019 is Monday February 18th 2019. http://www.travelmedia.ie/meet-the-media/ Meet the Media is a one day speed networking event where Irish travel media can speed network with local and international travel suppliers, such as OTAs, DMOs, tourist boards, airlines, tour operators, hoteliers and other travel suppliers. 2017 over 50 travel specialist media met with 30 travel trade suppliers, PRs and their representatives. Appointments are made online in advance of the day. 2017 over 500 online appointments were made. Text from video: - - We are delighted with the success of the inaugural Meet The Media event here in Dublin. Meet The Media 2017 saw over 50 media turn up for pre-scheduled appointments, over 30 worldwide suppliers from all over the world were here. A really efficient online appointment system was used. Over 500 meetings were scheduled in advance all online, worked really well for the media and worked really well for the suppliers. - Very interesting day. Very wide range of different media, so a great day for us to announce our new launch of service from Dublin. - Today's been brilliant, I met a lot of different journalists from online, influences bloggers, it's been a really good day. They actually know quite a lot about Los Angeles but I think its been good to show them a different side about different culinary, multicultural side, different cultures, and also museums and what else we have to offer for the destination. - Everything has been so well laid out, from the moment you arrive. Teas and coffees, lunch, everything's been so inviting, and we've already had some really really exciting meetings. So from knowing so little, it's opened so many doors. - Oh I found it really really good. I was working this morning, I just drove up from the southwest of Ireland and it's been a great hub of activity. There's so many people in here to meet and greet, and it's great to see so many people from all over the world in one room together. - There's such a good cross section of representation here, so I'm getting the opportunity to talk to them about what I do at my blog, and what we're trying to achieve, and what we could do to work with them. - The mix so, we've had bloggers, we've had local media, we've had radio stations, so it's been a very good day for us because that's all the media that we want to actually meet, to try and diversify also the way we communicate in the market. - Really good day, lots of interesting people to meet, lots of different backgrounds, lots of different interest in travels, so really positive. - Here for American Holidays, Travelmood, and Al Fresco Holidays, so they all know one or all of the products which is great. The quality is really good, I mean what they're presenting to me in advance is really interesting as well. So I look forward to following up with a lot of them. - I like the way that it's structured, that you have 15 minutes with people, no more, no less, and that's perfect. - I got to meet loads of suppliers here today, from different tourist boards, airlines, and it's been a fantastic day all around. And as I said I was really impressed and I'll definitely be back next year to check it all out again. - And today I've met people from all over the world, the Caribbean, North America, all over Europe, so yeah, beneficial to say the least. - It's an extremely interesting event, and the fact that it's business like, its quick, you get your business done quickly and there's no mucking about. - Today is going really well, I've met with a mixture of bloggers, and freelancers, and national newspaper media, and we love being in Dublin for the day and getting to have face time with everybody. - What was good about this particular trip, obviously I know quite a few of the media in Ireland but there's all the new media here today. It's always good to meet new people, and we met a lot of new people here for the client today. - Some of the people I've met have been people I've met before which is quite good. I've been with people from Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic have been here, a lot of America which is always good as well, because its always good having people in one room, where you can also get to see old colleagues, you get to see a lot of travel writers. And Ireland we still have this thing, if we're from North or South, we don't get to see everybody all the time so it's always good to catch up with a few colleagues on the travel writing scene as well........................... TravelMedia.ie is not TravMedia. Meet the Media Ireland is not an IMM event. TravMedia and IMM / TravMedia are not related companies.

How Dangerous is Deep Space Travel to Mars and Beyond ?
NASA has a mission protocol which says that if a Low Earth Orbit mission increases the lifetime risk of the crew getting cancer by more than 3% they won’t go ahead with it but the upcoming mars missions may expose the crews to levels that would be beyond that limit and other hazards, so how dangerous is deep space travel to Mars and beyond. Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/curiousdroid Paypal.me : https://www.paypal.me/curiousdroid You can now translate this and other curious droid videos, see my video about it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLPVgIytKyg With Elon Musk pushing to get men on Mars by the mid 2020’s and NASA looking to do the same for the 2030’s, just how much have we learned since Apollo and from the space stations. 50 years on from the beginning of the Apollo missions and we have yet to send any man back to the moon let alone on the much more arduous journey to our nearest viable planet Mars. Now whilst much of this has been lack of political will in the face of our own manmade problems here on earth, it’s also down to the increasing sophistication of robotic probes and landers and that they are much cheaper to make, launch, can go where no man could and can continue working for sometimes years at a time, the Voyager probes are still going 40 years after their launch. If we relied on manned discovery only we would know a fraction what we do now. With data from the probes which we have sent around the solar system since then, we have built up a picture which is far from the vision of just whizzing through inter planetary space. That and along with the joint NASA Russian experiment of having men in space for a year onboard the ISS, we now have a much better understanding of what they may experience on the two and half year round trip to Mars. Whale Sharks of Holbox | JONATHAN BIRD'S BLUE WORLD
Jonathan travels to Holbox, Mexico in search of the massive whale shark—the world's largest fish. Reaching 50 feet long, these animals grow larger than a school bus, but they are completely harmless since they eat only plankton and small fish. Jonathan gets up close and personal to a mouth the size of a small car in his investigation to discover why so many whale sharks visit Holbox every summer. This is an HD upload of a previously posted Season 2 segment. ********************************************************************** If you like Jonathan Bird's Blue World, don't forget to subscribe! You can join us on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/BlueWorldTV Twitter https://twitter.com/BlueWorld_TV Instagram @blueworldtv Web: http://www.blueworldTV.com ********************************************************************** Holbox is not your typical tourist destination. Until recently, this sleepy island wasn’t much more than a fishing village. There are no paved roads, and everyone gets around in golf carts or other non-conventional transportation. There are almost no cars on the island. The highway here is a stretch of beach where you can hit maybe 20 MPH if you have a fast cart. Downtown, this island has the charm of a place not yet discovered by throngs of tourists. But everywhere there are signs. Something special has been discovered here. Offshore in the cool waters of the Gulf of Mexico, a giant lurks! To find the whale sharks, I get up early to meet the boats to take me and the other intrepid snorkelers on the adventure of a lifetime. These are converted fishing boats. Instead of depleting the ocean of fish, these fishermen are instead making their living taking tourists to swim with the fish. A really big fish. Using a GPS device to help him find the shark hot spot, the captain takes us about an hour offshore. Our guide Andreas stands in the bow, with a carefully trained eye on the horizon. Soon, we pass a pod of dolphins. We also see manta rays, and large schools of fish feeding in a frenzy. Soon, he spots what we are looking for—the large fin of a whale shark sticking up out of the water. As we pull the boat up alongside the shark, I can see its massive mouth open and funneling water in, like a gigantic storm drain. The shark is feeding. But what could it be eating? It’s more than 30 feet long. What could feed such an enormous animal? To find out, I don my snorkel gear and hop over the side. The whale shark passes right in front of me. The water is not very clear, and this is where I get my first clue what is going on here. The sharks have come to this section of the ocean because it is filled with plankton! Whale sharks might be the biggest fish in the sea, but they eat only plankton and small fish. The word plankton comes from a Greek word meaning drifter, so plankton are drifting organisms. Early in the morning, when the water is calm, the plankton forms a thick layer near the surface. He's just surface feeding. What the whale sharks do here is they swim across the surface of the water with their mouths open wide and all that plankton that's sitting right there at the surface gets funneled right into their mouths. The enormous mouth swallows up huge quantities of water. The water comes back out through the shark’s gills, but comb-like structures in the gills capture the plankton like an enormous spaghetti strainer. So the whale shark swimming through the water is like a big pool skimmer, filtering the plankton for breakfast. Each shark eats hundreds of pounds of food every hour! It turns out that eating plankton is very efficient for a large animal. Conditions here around Holbox Island are perfect for plankton in the summer. The water is not as clear as other islands in the area, but these conditions attract a vast number of whale sharks, manta rays and fish—all animals that eat plankton. The fish attract other predators like dolphins, birds and bigger fish. That’s why Holbox has always been a great fishing area for the locals. I can’t believe how many sharks are around the boat. I can count as many as ten at a time. I have been to a lot of places around the world to swim with whale sharks, but never anyplace with this many! Soon however, as the sun gets higher in the sky and the air gets warmer, wind picks up and waves start to form. The plankton layer dissipates, and the sharks dive down deep, out of sight.

Aaron John Gregory's Epic Solo Japan Journey, 2015
In November 2015, I embarked on a solo trip to Japan for 12 days, spending half of my time in the Kyoto area, and half in Tokyo. It was a bucket-list journey for me. Japan has always held a special place in my heart, and it's been a life-time dream to visit. As a graduation gift (I graduated from art school in Dec, 2014) both from family and to myself, I finally realized that dream. What I can say now having done it, that I can earnestly not wait to go again, and plan to travel there as many times as possible through out my life, and could even see moving my family there someday. In all my travels, no where has affected me like Japan. This video is 20 minutes of random bits of beauty, absurdity, zen, and chaos. I like fish, a LOT, so there are frequent shots from various aquariums I visited. I like Japanese toys and 80's pop-culture, a LOT, so there are frequent shots of stuff pertaining to Godzilla and Ultraman. But obviously, I love all things Japan, and if you do too, then enjoy my little video. Places featured here: TOKYO - Tsukiji Fish Market, Shinjuku Robot Restaurant (of course, I know) and Hotel Gracery (Godzilla Hotel), Harajuku - Big Love Records, Shibuya station, Akihabara Electric town, Ueneo Park, Toho Studios, Chiyoda - Imperial Hotel, Sumida Aquarium, Sumida River, and Bandai Headquaters. KYOTO prefecture and surrounding area; UJI - Uji river and Koshoji Temple; ARASHIYAMA - bamboo forest, monkey park, and Tenruji temple; NARA - Kasuga-taisha Shrine, Nara Park deer, Giant Buddha at Todaiji Temple; OSAKA - Aquarium.

How Much Caddies Actually Earn
Voice over: Michael Robles Written: Dan Kilbridge Video and pictures: Getty Kenny Harms has been a professional caddie for more than 25 years. He’s looped for more than 10 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA and PGA Tour Champions and was on the bag for Kevin Na at the 2018 British Open at Carnoustie. It’s a full-time gig with travel requirements and few off days throughout the season. His salary when he started in 1991? $350 per week. Things have changed a bit since then. “Lot of money to be made,” Harms said. Nowadays, a select few caddies can make seven figures in a single season on the PGA Tour thanks to bonuses and a cut of the massive prize purses. They also can go weeks on end struggling to break even after expenses. The amount of money paid caddies has become a major topic in golf due to the fallout over the $5,000 Matt Kuchar paid his caddie after winning the Mayakoba Classic in Mexico last year. That victory brought a $1.296 million winner’s check with it. Kuchar stands by the amount paid, while caddie David Giral “El Tucan” Ortiz, who was Kuchar’s local looper for the week, believes he should have been paid more. One of the most FAQs in golf The amount and manner in which caddies are compensated is one of the most frequently asked questions in golf. The answer is complicated, but there are some general guidelines most player-caddie relationships follow in some form. By most accounts, the average weekly base pay for caddies on the PGA Tour runs in the neighborhood of $1,800-$2,000 per week. On the LPGA, it’s closer to $1,200. The majority of those funds go toward travel expenses, which are almost never covered outside of the weekly wage. Some of the top players will foot the bill for costly trips outside the U.S., say for the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, but that’s not always the case. If a particularly stingy player misses the cut overseas, chances are his caddie is losing money. “Going to China or Japan, or even Europe, it’s a big, expensive trip,” Matt Kuchar’s regular caddie, John Wood, told Golfweek last year. “Our salary is meant to take care of expenses, and if you’re going somewhere where expenses are going to be double or triple what they normally are, I think a player should step up and help him out. I’m sure it’s not like that for everyone, and it would be tough to travel like that.” Breakdown of a caddie’s payday At stateside Tour stops, most caddies are largely dependent on their player’s performance. The average base percentage for post-tournament payouts is about the same on the LPGA and PGA Tour and has remained steady in recent decades, according to most. It goes like this: Ten percent of the earnings for a win. Seven percent for a top-10 finish. Five percent for anything else inside the cut line. If a player misses the cut, his caddie might hang on to a few bucks from the initial weekly payment. And they never know when or if the next significant payday is coming. “That’s the risk we take with this job,” said Andy Sanders, Jimmy Walker’s long-time caddie. “If you work for a guy who’s not making any cuts and not making any money, you kind of drown yourself. … That caddie’s not making any money. He’s struggling. It happens. There’s tons of guys out here that are grinding that way.” Caddies are also self-employed and pay for their own insurance out of pocket. Then there’s retirement funds, which are considered a luxury especially on the LPGA with prize purses a fraction of that on the men’s side. Some caddies make what an LPGA Tour winner makes Michelle Simpson retired from professional golf in 2006 and has since caddied for the likes of Meredith Duncan and Brittany Lincicome. For her most recent win, at the Pure Silk Bahamas in January, Lincicome took home $210,000. That’s a tough pill to swallow for some when they see the Players Championship winner haul in nearly $2 million. ### https://golfweek.com/2019/02/14/golf-caddie-earnings-matt-kuchar-mayakoba-classic/?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_3804981

Eating Thai Food with Andrew Zimmern in Bangkok!
Thank you to Andrew Zimmern (http://andrewzimmern.com/), Patrick Weiland, Erin, and the entire team for the opportunity to hang out and eat some of the best Thai food in Bangkok! Eating Thai Food with Andrew Zimmern: http://migrationology.com/2016/01/andrew-zimmern-bangkok/ 00:11 Lunch at home in Bangkok - Before going to meet up with Andrew Zimmern, I had a quick early lunch back at home. My meal included some tom yum pla too (Thai tom yum soup with mackerel) and a quick kai jeow (Thai omelet). 2:06 Meeting up with Andrew Zimmern - We headed to the Dusit Zoo in Bangkok to meet up with Andrew Zimmern, and after the TV film crew arrived, I jumped into a tuk tuk and we picked up Andrew. From there, we drove around in the tuk tuk getting to know each other and started heading to the Soei restaurant area. 3:46 Soei Restaurant (http://www.eatingthaifood.com/2014/08/soei-restaurant-bangkok/) - One of my all time favorite restaurants in Bangkok, and I was extrmeely excited to eat here with Andrew Zimmern. We ordered a few of my favorite dishes including Thai crab curry, and also tom yum pla too, which is the same dish I had eaten for breakfast at home as well. One of the main snacks to order at Soei are the deep fried crispy mackerel heads, and they were, as always, extraordinary - crispy all the way through, lightly salted, and incredibly flavorful. Soei served us yet again another outstanding Thai meal in Bangkok. 9:34 On our way to Ratchawat Market - Along with Soei being one of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok, Ratchawat is one of my favorite markets in Bangkok. We jumped back into the tuk tuk and drove over to Ratchawat Market. Our tuk tuk driver, whose name was P’Weera, took us first to one of his favorite street food stalls in the market, which was hot dogs cooked in wrap around buns. Andrew and I both agreed that they weren’t the best things we tried, but luckily there was a lot more to eat at the market. Our next stop was for some Thai street meat at the corner stall where we sampled northern Thai sausage, and some crispy pork belly. Mr. Bojangles, TWH Gaited John Mule SOLD
Mr. Bojangles was born and raised right up the road from us. His previous owner travels for work and just didn't have time for Bo, so we had the option of buying this fantastic animal. We have had a family illness and now do not have the time that Bo deserves and must sell Bo. Our loss is your gain. Bo is an all-around awesome animal. He is out of a gaited jack and a registered TWH mare. Bo is a big, measured, 16.2 hand, 6 year old, solid black, john mule. He is stout built and can go all day. Bo has the best personality and disposition in the world. He is always very gentle and laid back. Nothing gets him worked up. He loves to be around people and is very sociable. There is not a hole one in this mule!!! Bo is super easy to catch and doesn't move a muscle to be tacked up. He even lowers his head to be bridled. Bo stands to be shod, clipped, and bathed. He jumps right in a trailer without any hesitation. He is not bossy out in the field and gets along great with other mules and horses. Bo is a dream to ride. He has a great, smooth, walk and running walk, and will also canter. Bo neck reins and direct reins whichever you prefer. He backs up very nicely and side passes. Bo has been used extensively on trails out through the woods and being rode down the gravel roads and even down the highways. He crosses water, ditches, logs, is 100% traffic safe, doesn't mind 4-wheelers or dogs, and has been used on our farm with the cattle. You can open gates off of him and we have even pulled sleds with him in the winter. Bo will also ride bareback, which a lot of mules won't do. With Bo's size, he will park out to make it easier for mounting and he will also lay down to be mounted and lay down while you are on him to make it easier for you to get off also. This mule has also been desensitized to tarps. You can drag a tarp all over him and he will walk over them and you can also crack a bull whip off of him. Bo will also ride double and you can pack anything on him. He has been rode a lot in the mountains of Wyoming and Colorado and was used for riding and packing out meat. He is absolutely not head shy or ear shy. For more info please email [email protected] or call 573.821.3077. $8500

Dunville Park Statue of Boxer John Caldwell 1938-2009
John Caldwell: Boxing legend's statue unveiled in Belfast park 12th May 2016 A bronze statue of Belfast boxing legend John Caldwell has been erected in the park where he played as a child. Mr Caldwell died in 2009, at the age of 71, after a long battle against cancer. As an 18-year-old, the west Belfast man won a bronze medal in the flyweight division at the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne. Five years later, he clinched the world bantamweight title after beating Frenchman Aphonse Halimi. Mr Caldwell's family, friends and boxing colleagues gathered in Dunville Park off the Falls Road for the unveiling of the statue. His daughter Berna McStravick said she felt "very emotional" when she saw it. "It's lovely to have my daddy's statue here. "This is where he was from - he was born and reared on the Falls Road and he played here in this park. "We see him as a Falls Road legend, so it's fitting that the statue is here." Ms McStravick recalled the stories her father told her about his travels around the world representing Ireland in his sport. "He had great memories of the Olympics and winning the bronze medal - that was his proudest moment. "He told us about travelling to Melbourne and how exciting it was." She said people from across Belfast and beyond still still recount stories about Mr Caldwell to her. "In all parts of Belfast, he was well known and well respected." Boxing coach Gerry Nugent, of the Immaculata Boxing Club where Mr Caldwell trained, said he hopes the statue will inspire young boxers. "Boxing will always be popular in Belfast. It's just in us, in the environment. It's the close community. "We have had a gap [in training] because our boxers all turned pro, but we've a lot of kids coming up here." Many pundits regard Mr Caldwell as one of the most skilful boxers ever to have come out of Ireland, allied to his undoubted courage in the ring. He was reckoned to have been exceptionally unlucky to lose his Olympic semi-final in 1956 at a Games where three other Irish boxers, including Freddie Gilroy, claimed medals. Speaking at the unveiling, professional Boxer Joe Fitzpatrick said Mr Caldwell's was a name which figured prominently at Immaculata when he was a young boy. He said Mr Caldwell and other boxing champions inspired him to change his path in life. "John Caldwell is the only Olympian to come from Immaculata, so I look up to him. We all look up to champions like John. "If it hadn't been for Immaculata, I probably would have been into drugs or joyriding, but this gave me discipline. "I was on the wrong route, but [boxing] is the way forward." Commission. One of Scotland's leading figurative artists, Alan Beattie Herriot, won the commission to design and build the sculpture, along with another of Rinty Monaghan which was erected in Belfast's Cathedral Gardens. He said Mr Caldwell's old family photos gave him a sense of the man he was. "We made a mould in this traditional boxing pose. "It's actually larger than life-size as John was 5ft 1ins. He was about 8st 6 at one stage - I think I was that weight as a baby! "Not only is it a great honour for John and his family, but it's been backed by the Belfast Boxing Ring and it's important that young boxers coming through can be inspired by these boxers and follow on in their footsteps."

Our video is compilation in Czech Republic. Czech Republic is a beautiful country of nation state in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east and Poland to the northeast. There are many beautiful places in Czech Republic but we just make small copilation video from difference places of Czech Republic. That's any places of Prague tends to take a lot of credit for the Czech Republic’s beauty places on earth, and there was something equally as magnetic and delightfully underrated about Moravia. Modern Day Fundamental ideas (Draomas en la modernidad) - Nicolas Correa
Interviewer Hello YouTube friends, As part of the master’s program in Strategy and Geopolitics from the Colombian Superior School of War, in our class today on the HISTORY OF POLITICAL IDEAS we have the pleasure of interviewing four great thinkers of our generation. These guests have had a lot of influence in the way of thinking about the topics of POWER, JUSTICE, COMMUNICATION, PATRIOTISM and POLITICS. These “fundamental ideas” (Draomas in spanish) have had many approaches by great minds throughout history. Our first guest comes from the United States, a great defender of JUSTICE. I speak to you of Doctor John Rawls, in which his grand master piece “A theory of justice”, gave us an inspiring insight of what humans believe in fair treatment and equality. Please Doctor tell us a little bit more about this book. John Rawls Well I believe with the power of ideas people can change the injustice that is present in everyday activities. I point out the radical unfairness in society, such as social classes, political power over the rights and freedoms of common people, life expectancy and other aspects of modern human nature. When we think of entering a society that we know nothing about, would it feel safe to enter? This is what I like to call the “veil of ignorance”. This is why if we look at it from this perspective any person would want the same treatment and rights no matter in what condition a person is born into society: for example good schools, efficient health care, impartial justice system and decent living conditions. Interviewer Thank you Doctor for your valuable input to our society. The second participant comes from Germany, Jurgen Habermas a great thinker and sociologist, he is best known for his communicative action theory, in which offers some criticism on how Power and Politics need to be intervened with “communicative rationality”. Let us hear more about his idea. Jurgen Habermas I was always convinced that there is in everyday communicative life, a communicative communication, also a kind of push to give reason, to be more or less reasonable, to give answers, to the questions why did you say that, why did you do that. Therefore, that was the motivation to pursue a bit further the issue of the kind of reason that is built into our everyday language. Interviewer Thank you for your contribution and comments, we will keep in mind all of your valuable orientations. Our third guest travels from India. Doctor Amartya Sen, he is a Nobel prize recipient in economics and a brilliant philosopher. He is well known for his work in Collective Choice and Social Welfare. Please tell us more about your work. Amartya Sen The revival of the mathematical contemporary social choice theory and a lot of my work has been in that area. This gives us a better handle in understanding the challenges of justice, no in the nature of what would the perfectly just society of perfectly just introducing look like, but how do we judge, how we might reduce injustice in the world, removing justice in the world and what is the roll particularly of public reasoning in this. Interviewer Amazing words! Thank you doctor again for your time and for sharing with us your ideas. Finally, from the United States Doctor Martha Nussbaum, an intelligent and influential woman in the academic field with her ideas on “The Fragility of Goodness”. Let´s give the word to Doctor Nussbaum so she can explain further on the subject. Martha Nussbaum To be a good human being is to have a kind of openness to the world, an ability to trust uncertain things beyond your own control that can lead you to be shattered in very extreme circumstances that for which you are not yourself to blame. I think that says something very important about the condition of the ethical life that it is based on a trust in the uncertain, a wiliness to be exposed. It is based on being, so we´re more like a plant that a jewel something rather fragile but who is very particular beauty is inseparable from that fragility. Conclusions With these interventions, we have a clearer and broader concept about the influence it has for society in 21st century. Finally, I want to leave these questions for meditation for all the viewers: What have you done to make the world a better place for the newer generations? How do you feel that your actions have affected people in your life? What will be your gift to humanity? Thank you for watching. Support and reference videos.
